dear online diary and the curious cats that may come across it,
i have made a breakthrough and i have dreamwidth to thank for it. i first moved my fics because not only did i want to write more original work but i also wanted to pull my fics from ao3 in a sort-of boycott do to their current policies. as kwame ture said, a boycott is simply saying i will not use (ao3). i won't get the same engagement but i think i've wanted a more private experience for a long time.
i've said before i want an active following not a large one!
anyway the policies that broke the camels back are not limited to the vast amounts of pedophilic or rapey content, but the fact that we have no way of reporting such fics for improper tagging or a complete lack of tagging. i grew up in the dont like dont read era so i get it. whatever. but it really is to the point *EYE* find the site basically unusuable 9 times out of 10.
anyway, the breakthrough is that because dreamwidth isn't utilizing anything too fancy, i'm able to post from my beloved 15 y/o laptop, which is now able to write more than a few hundred words without crashing.
